Finally, hopefully, I have got a working calendar for RosemarieGant.com. I have tried various WordPress plug-ins over the past few weeks and none worked terribly well, from not showing events at all to showing them but only with American dates.
Now I have gone back to Google and the dates you see on the right are pulling from my public Google calendar. This is a nice plug-in that was fairly easy to set up, although I did have to work out what the feed for my calendar was and then amend it slightly. The best description on how to do this I found on Jeff Hendrickson’s website: adding a Google calendar to WordPress. Do take note of what he says in the yellow box at the bottom of the description though. You really do need to manually change the link that Google gives you to say “full” rather than “basic” otherwise it doesn’t work.
Anyway, for those who just want to look, then mouse over the diary entries on the right hand side. If you click on them they will give you more details about what I am doing or what’s happening. And if you want me to help sort out your Google calendars, then just let me know!
