You would think this would be simple but for some reason WordPress tend to hide the id of the pages and posts that you create in your blog. Most of the time, admittedly, you don’t need them but when you do, such as when you want to pull together a specific menu, then they seem very well hidden.
It took me a while searching, but the answer is actually very straightforward. If you want to find the id of one of your pages/posts, go to Pages/edit (or Posts/edit) from the dashboard where you will be presented with a full list of the pages on your site. Hover the mouse over the page name and wherever your browser shows the url that it would go to, if clicked, there you will be able to see the page id at the end of the url.
Simple when you know but extremely frustrating when you don’t!
