Excellent Internet Marketing seminar by Nigel Temple

Well its been a really busy week but I think probably the highlight was a Business Link seminar* on Internet Marketing by Nigel Temple. It was held at the lovely Ravenwood Hall Hotel near Bury St Edmunds which is really easy to get to. It only lasted two hours which is about the right length for me. Full day seminars never seem to have the same benefit as I always find by lunchtime my head is so full of new ideas I can't take any more on board. And Nigel's seminar on internet marketing was certainly packed with tips and ideas, some of which I have started using already.

On other work: John R Haynes Fine Model Ships has now got a nice new design for the Building Now pages showing the current ship he is working on. Although we were previously using the model of having a thumbnail picture enlarging to a bigger picture, previously the bigger picture did not stay on screen. Now the larger picture remains from whichever thumbnail the mouse last went over. We are going to take this model of thumbnail and large pictures and reproduce it through the rest of the portfolio. The whole of the site is gradually getting a refresh so keep an eye on this one.

The Country Store too has a new spring like banner to match the lovely sunny weather we have been seeing this week.

And finally I am growing my virtual team to speed up response times for the web work, but in the process am finding how it can be just as tricky to scope a project for someone else to write, as it is to write it yourself!

Have a good weekend and if you are at a loose end, pick up some of the great tips from Nigel Temple’s Marketing Compass website.

[*In search for a link to Business Link, I found they do some great online seminars too!]
