Official Stuff
Rosemarie Gant, Website Manager and Online Business Advisor, has been running her freelance business since 2000, firstly as http://www.gantwells.co.uk and now http://www.freshapproachweb.co.uk.
Rosemarie helps and advises small business and sole traders on how to maximise their use of the web whether that involves actually trading on-line or just improving your on-line profile so that customers can find you more easily. Her blog, http://www.rosemariegant.com provides information and downloads of practical tips for business owners to take and use. Her emphasis is always that solutions need to be practical so that you can easily put them in place or gives you the confidence so that at least you know what to ask your IT professional to help you with. She also supports a small number of business owners directly by managing their websites for them so that they can spend more time doing what they do best! She does this by taking care of all the small edits needed to keep your site current but also suggesting ideas for development which she or you can implement. Rosemarie enjoys helping make connections for her clients with other complementary sites on the web to the benefit of all.
Prior to starting her freelance business Rosemarie worked in various administrative and office management positions which included working for the UK NHS (a contract which she still holds part-time) and Cambridge University.
Rosemarie holds an HNC in Business Studies, as well as various secretarial and IT-related diplomas. She keeps her IT training up-to-date regularly attending seminars on the latest web advancements.
Really?
Yes, really, honestly, all the above is true. But like everyone, there’s more to me than that. Here’s a few pointers:
- I love the English countryside where I live, walk, write, garden and generally immerse myself.
- I have three shetland ponies and am keen on carriage driving.
- I also keep a range of chickens from huge fluffy Orpingtons to Light Sussex and all sorts of hybrids we have hatched ourselves
- I love to draw and write
- I love to laugh, chat and drink tea with my friends
- And I’m a huge fan of the Goddess Circle, Jen Louden, Kendall Summerhawk, Beth Dargis among others.
